Watch your step – that ain’t no garden hose

Spring is a glorious time to visit Winton Wetlands, with more days of sunshine and lots of wildflowers now in bloom. It’s also a time to watch your step too: snakes start to get more active this time of year.
Fortunately they’re happy to stay well clear of humans most of the time – though it’s good advice to keep your eyes peeled when walking out and about on the wetlands, and keep to the walking tracks, just in case. If you do see a snake, stay well clear.
