Introducing Sarah Way, a fabulous new addition to the Winton Wetlands team.
Sarah is a zoologist with over 18 years’ experience in threatened fauna species conservation including field-based research and monitoring programs within State Government environment agencies, not-for-profit sector, the resources industry, and environmental consultancy.
Originally from Victoria, Sarah has also worked in the sugar gum woodlands of South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula, Tasmania’s sub-Antarctic Macquarie Island and more recently the northern jarrah forest and internationally significant Peel-Yalgorup Wetlands in southwest Western Australia.
Sarah is passionate about wetland conservation as well as engaging and connecting communities with their local biodiversity.
She is particularly excited about contributing to the Growling Grass Frog re-introduction project, having surveyed this species earlier in her career. Please make Sarah very welcome.
