Location
Winton Wetlands is located approximately three hours north east of Melbourne near to the Hume Fwy and is open all day, every day of the year except on days of Total Fire Ban. Entry to the site is free.
The nearby towns of Benalla, Glenrowan and Wangaratta provide a number of options for activities and accommodation to experience whilst visiting the region.
Access
The Mokoan Hub & Cafe’ (open 9am-4pm daily) is a great place to start your visit. Drop in and pick up a map and perhaps a coffee!
The Dam Wall and the Duck Pond make for great stopping points along Lake Mokoan Road, and for access into the reserve, the suggested route is to take Boggy Bridge Road (off Lake Mokoan Road).
Please note, access is unavailable from Winton North Road in Winton Wetlands on to Nelson Road. Please use alternative route.
