Here at Winton Wetlands, we’re hopping with excitement to celebrate our frog friends!

Did you know that 9 species of frogs have been recorded at Winton Wetlands? Among them is the threatened Growling Grass Frog (Litoria raniformis) – a special species we’re working to bring back through our Re-wilding Project.
Frogs play a vital role in our wetlands, acting as both predators and prey in the aquatic ecosystem. They climb, hop, swim, float, bask, and even burrow – helping to keep the environment balanced and thriving.

Join us in celebrating these fascinating creatures today!
