What is Ramsar, Recent CoP outcomes and Obligations under Ramsar

This talk will cover what the Ramsar Convention is, and how the Convention has been implemented in Australia, including the listing process, and protection under Australian law. This will be followed by an update on recent developments at the Fourteenth Conference of the Parties, and next steps for Australia.

Dylan Jones

Dylan Jones is Australia’s National Focal Point for the Ramsar Convention, and an Assistant Director in the Environmental Water and Aquatic Ecosystems Division of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water. He holds a Master of Science with a focus on conservation, and has worked in environmental policy at national, international and state levels.
